The ITC exists since 1925, when the estate was donated for the work of the Theosophical Society (TS). Since then it serves as the international centre for the TS in Europe.
Our mission is to serve humanity as a spiritual study and retreat centre, inviting people to work on the process of inner transformation.
The ITC has a unique and sacred atmosphere. All of its activities are related to the higher aspects of life, the Source of Wisdom and Love. It is thus connected with the finer spiritual energies. Visitors can be greatly helped and inspired by its potent stillness.
Seminars
ITC organises international seminars every summer. You can read all about upcoming events on our event calendar page.
Retreats
ITC intends to organise a retreat in the autumn of 2022, the content of which will be announced in due time. Also, Buddhist retreats are frequently organised by the independent Sangha Metta organisation.
Courses and local Lodge
ITC does not organise courses at the moment. We do have an active theosophical lodge. For courses and other activities see Annie Besant Lodge.
Lectures
Together with the Dutch section ITC organises Dutch language lectures “Latente Vermogens in de Mens”.
Ceremonial Activities
ITC does not organise ceremonial activities itself, but ceremonial work has always been important since the foundation of the centre. We refer to:
- Chapel Liberal Catholic Church
- Round Table
- Co-Masonry
Yoga
ITC does not organise yoga classes itself. For, nearly daily, yoga classes at the atelier of ITC we refer you to the independent Raja Yoga school Samyama.
Children Programs
ITC does not organise children’s programs itself. We refer to the Order of the Round Table, an international organisation for young people of all nations; for those who hold to a religious faith and those who do not. Its aim is to form a brotherhood of children and young people to help humanity in its inner development, both moral and spiritual, using symbols and ceremonies. Symbols can touch the heart directly, bypassing the intellect; and their use in ceremonies enables children to learn directly about eternal values, keeping them in touch, perhaps, with that which they already intuitively know. The Dutch organisation can be found here: Tafelronde.
The European School of Theosophy (EST) organises courses in different countries. The EST also has an active online program. In october the EST will organise a 5-day event at the ITC called The Voice of the Silence: A Manual for Mystics .
